Indiana Fever Defeats Phoenix Mercury 98-89

The Indiana Fever defeated the Phoenix Mercury 98-89, completing a season sweep over Phoenix in their first game post-Olympics. Caitlin Clark led the Fever with a double-double, scoring 29 points and dishing out 10 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell contributed 28 points. The Mercury started slow and fell behind by as much as 28 points, struggling to find rhythm after back-to-back games and the Olympic break. However, they mounted a significant comeback in the second half, even taking a brief lead, but ultimately could not maintain it. Kahleah Copper shone for Phoenix with 32 points, supported by Diana Taurasi's 16 points. The Mercury will look to bounce back in their next game against the Chicago Sky on Sunday.
