Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma echoed these sentiments, urging Prime Minister Modi to utilize diplomatic channels to ensure the safety of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. The situation for these communities has deteriorated following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government, with reports of attacks occurring in numerous locations. Bhagwat also reminded that societal commitment is essential for a strong response to such instability. Prime Minister Modi has expressed hope for improvement in the conditions for Bangladeshi minorities, reinforcing India's supportive stance.
