RSS Chief Urges Protection for Hindus in Bangladesh

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed grave concern over the ongoing violence against the Hindu minority in Bangladesh, stating that India has a responsibility to protect them from injustice and atrocities. Speaking on Independence Day, he emphasized the need for vigilance against those who seek to dominate and disrupt peace while highlighting India's tradition of offering aid to those in distress. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma echoed these sentiments, urging Prime Minister Modi to utilize diplomatic channels to ensure the safety of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. The situation for these communities has deteriorated following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government, with reports of attacks occurring in numerous locations. Bhagwat also reminded that societal commitment is essential for a strong response to such instability. Prime Minister Modi has expressed hope for improvement in the conditions for Bangladeshi minorities, reinforcing India's supportive stance.
