Marseille Signs Neal Maupay on Loan

Olympique Marseille has secured the signing of Neal Maupay from Everton on a season-long loan deal, which includes an obligation to buy in 2025. The 28-year-old forward had a challenging tenure at Everton, scoring just once in 32 appearances since joining in 2022. Prior to this, Maupay enjoyed a more fruitful loan spell at Brentford, where he netted eight goals in 31 matches. His move to Marseille allows him to reunite with former Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and aims to enhance Marseille's attacking options for the current season. Additionally, Marseille has made other notable signings, including Mason Greenwood and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, as they bolster their squad. Everton, meanwhile, has been active in the transfer market, securing multiple new players and looking to finalize a loan deal for Lyon midfielder Orel Mangala.
