Bonda Tribe Student Passes NEET, Gets State Support
Mangala Muduli, a 19-year-old from the Bonda tribe in Odisha, has become the first from his community to secure admission in a medical college by clearing the NEET exam. Overcoming significant challenges, including economic hardships and a lack of educational resources, Muduli achieved a rank of 261 among tribal reserved seats. With the help of his science teacher, Utkal Keshari Das, who arranged for free coaching, Muduli secured admission at MKCG Medical College in Berhampur. Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi felicitated Muduli, promising state support for his medical education. Muduli aspires to serve his tribal community, which faces severe healthcare shortages, as a doctor.
