Man Arrested for Attacking Union Minister in Bihar

Union Minister Giriraj Singh was allegedly attacked during a Janata Darbar event in Begusarai, Bihar. The attacker, identified as Shahzad alias Saifi, approached Singh with a petition but then began shouting slogans and attempted to physically assault the minister. Supporters of Singh intervened, overpowering the attacker before handing him over to the police. Singh condemned the attack, suggesting it was motivated by communal tensions and asserting that he would not be intimidated. He claimed that if the attacker had possessed a revolver, he might have been killed. The police have detained the attacker and are investigating the incident.
