Nagarjuna's N-Convention Centre Demolished by HYDRA

Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni's N-Convention Centre in Hyderabad was demolished by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRA) due to alleged encroachment on Tummidikunta Lake's Full Tank Level (FTL) area and buffer zone. Nagarjuna has vehemently denied these claims, asserting the land is legally owned (Patta land) and that no encroachment occurred, citing a stay order against the demolition. Despite the High Court's interim stay orders, HYDRA proceeded with the demolition, citing long-standing violations and lack of building permissions. Authorities argue the structure occupied over three acres of the lake area, significantly reducing its water spread. Nagarjuna plans to seek legal recourse against what he describes as unlawful actions by the authorities.
