Ravens Sign Eddie Jackson to One-Year Deal
Former first-team All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson has signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens after being released by the Chicago Bears in February. Jackson, who spent his entire seven-year career with the Bears, brings valuable experience and a history of strong performances to the Ravens' secondary, which already includes notable players such as Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams. Despite facing injuries in recent seasons, Jackson has a proven track record with 15 career interceptions and six defensive touchdowns. The Ravens, who finished the last regular season with the best record in the NFL, aim to bolster their defense to compete against high-powered offenses like that of the Kansas City Chiefs. Jackson's addition is expected to provide veteran depth and enhance their defensive flexibility. Baltimore's veteran players are scheduled to report for training camp on Saturday.
