Severe Rainfall Causes Traffic Disruptions in India

Heavy rainfall across various cities in India on Friday caused significant waterlogging and traffic disruptions. Indore also faced its heaviest rain of the season, leaving major squares waterlogged and causing ambulances to struggle through the flooded streets. In Delhi, areas like Dhaula Kuan were particularly hard-hit, with the Public Works Department receiving numerous complaints about waterlogging and tree falls, leading to chaotic traffic conditions. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi reported efforts to clear the waterlogged areas but acknowledged ongoing issues due to incomplete drainage works. Residents in Pune expressed frustration over flooding caused by rainwater and sewage entering their homes, criticizing local authorities for their inadequate response.
