Sports Illustrated Model Christie Brinkley's 70th Birthday

Christie Brinkley is celebrating her 70th birthday on 2 February, and the supermodel is marking the milestone with a beach party at her second home in Turks & Caicos, sharing pictures of the event with her fans on Instagram. Brinkley, who was discovered at the age of 18 outside a Paris post office, was on the cover of the first three issues of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition, and became the face of CoverGirl in the 1980s. Brinkley told People magazine that she is approaching her 70th birthday with a similar attitude to her 50th, saying: "The big 7-0 is another one of those [ages] that's up there in giant block numbers that loom over … At 62, you start thinking, 'Well, I'm almost 70.' It cast a shadow all over that whole decade down.
