Chinese Olympians Visit Hong Kong August 29-31

A delegation of 65 Chinese Olympians, including 59 gold medalists from the Paris 2024 Olympics, will visit Hong Kong from August 29 to 31, marking China's best performance at an overseas Olympics with a total of 40 golds. Notable athletes such as table tennis star Ma Long and swimmer Zhang Yufei will participate, while Zheng Qinwen, the women's singles tennis champion, will miss the event due to U.S. Open preparations. The visit will include a gala show and sports demonstrations at Queen Elizabeth Stadium and Victoria Park, with all 5,000 tickets sold out in under half an hour. The delegation, led by Gao Zhidan, president of the Chinese Olympic Committee, will also interact with local athletes during their stay. Following the Hong Kong visit, the Olympians will head to Macau for similar events. This visit highlights China's growing prominence in international sports and the athletes' achievements.
