Philippine authorities are on the hunt for Alice Guo, a former mayor implicated in crimes related to the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGOs) and human trafficking, who recently escaped to Indonesia. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has vowed to hold accountable those who facilitated her escape, stating that 'heads will roll' in response to the incident. Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, was last tracked moving from Malaysia to Singapore, and then to Indonesia, despite being under an immigration watchlist. The Philippine government has directed the cancellation of Guo's passport and those of her associates. The Senate has issued an arrest warrant for Guo, who failed to attend hearings regarding her connections to illegal gambling operations. A spokesman for the Presidential Anti-Organised Crime Commission indicated that Guo could be pursued via extradition or through an Interpol red notice, as the Philippines has an extradition treaty with Indonesia.
