Cathay Pacific has temporarily grounded its entire Airbus A350 fleet for inspections following an unprecedented engine component failure that forced a flight to Zurich to turn back. The airline discovered multiple faulty engine components across its 48 A350s, leading to the cancellation of 24 roundtrip flights, including services to Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, Taipei, and Osaka. Rolls-Royce, the engine manufacturer, is working closely with Cathay and relevant authorities to address the issue. The inspections are expected to take several days, during which some aircraft will remain out of service. Cathay has assured customers that safety is their top priority and has provided alternative travel options for affected passengers.
