In the Union Budget 2024-25, significant funds have been allocated for railway infrastructure across various states in India, with Andhra Pradesh receiving ₹9,151 crore for projects including new lines and station development. Gujarat's allocation increased to ₹8,743 crore, marking a 15% rise from previous averages, and the state has 42 ongoing projects valued at ₹30,826 crore. Uttarakhand is set to receive ₹5,131 crore, with a focus on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, which involves extensive tunneling work. The overall capital expenditure for Indian Railways in the budget is set at ₹2,62,200 crore, reflecting a commitment to expanding and modernizing railway infrastructure across the nation.
