Kristof Rasovszky Wins Gold at World Aquatics Championships
Kristóf Rasovszky won a gold medal and Dávid Betlehem secured an Olympic quota in the 10-kilometer open water swimmers’ competition at the World Championships in Doha. Rasovszky's win marks his second world championship title, while Betlehem achieved the best individual World Cup result of his adult career and secured his Olympic start. The race featured a large European contingent and the top 15 finishers qualified for the Paris Olympics. Florian Wellbrock, the defending champion, finished 29th but has already secured his place in Paris, while the Hungarian open-water ace Kristof Rasovszky led the second all-Europe podium in the 10km finals at World titles. He won in 1 hour 48 minutes and 21 seconds to claim his first gold at the distance in an international championship, and the top 13 finishers secured quota spots in the 10km race for their National Olympic Committees at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
