Ukraine Strikes Russian Targets, Repels Drone Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy praised his forces for recent successful strikes on Russian military targets, including airfields and oil depots, which are part of Ukraine's retaliation strategy against ongoing Russian bombardments. Russian officials reported that Ukraine launched a massive drone attack, with Russia's defense ministry claiming to have intercepted and destroyed 75 drones across several regions. The strikes hit ammunition and fuel depots in Morozovsk, Belgorod, Kursk, and Rostov, causing fires and structural damage. Ukraine also shot down 24 out of 29 Shahed drones launched by Russia in an overnight attack. The use of drones has escalated on both sides, with Ukraine reportedly using advanced guided munitions-equipped drones to target Russian assets, including a successful strike on an MI-8 helicopter.
