Travis Kelce Named Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was named the Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year at the 2024 Kansas City Sports Awards. The event, held at the Kansas City Downtown Marriott Muehlebach Tower, also honored Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo as Coach of the Year. Kelce, recognized for his record-setting postseason receptions and community contributions, expressed deep gratitude to Kansas City fans for their support over his 12-year tenure. He discussed his foundation, 87 and Running, which aims to provide opportunities for underprivileged children. The ceremony also featured other notable honorees, including Olympic gymnast Aleah Finnegan as Sportswoman of the Year. The Chiefs will open their season on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
