Bengaluru Smashers Defeat Jaipur Patriots 11-4

PBG Bengaluru Smashers took a major step towards playoff qualification in the IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 by defeating Jaipur Patriots 11-4 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. Led by Manika Batra and Alvaro Robles, the team extended their unbeaten streak to three matches, raising their points tally to 32. Notably, Batra won the final match against Suthasini Sawettabut 3-0, securing two Golden Points. Robles also made headlines by defeating South Korean Cho Seung-min, marking the first defeat for Cho in the tournament. Lily Zhang and Jeet Chandra delivered compelling performances, securing additional victories for Bengaluru. The franchise-based league is promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani under the auspices of the Table Tennis Federation of India.
