Geller expressed his elation at acquiring the glasses, stating he would have paid up to £500,000 for them, and plans to display them in his museum in Tel Aviv alongside other memorabilia, including an alien egg Lennon gifted him. The auction was conducted by Catherine Southon Auctioneers, who noted that the glasses were expected to sell for around £3,000 but sparked a bidding war.
