Small Plane Crashes at Sacramento Golf Complex
A small plane crash-landed at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, California, narrowly missing golfers and causing minor injuries to the pilot. The single-engine Piper PA-28 experienced complete mechanical failure shortly after takeoff from McClellan Airfield, descending from 400 feet before skidding across the course and hitting the pro shop. Miraculously, no one on the ground was injured despite the plane crashing in a normally crowded area. The pilot walked away with only a cut on his hand and was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the incident. The golf course reported minor damage to their facilities.
