Three Arrested in Monroe Township Acid Attack
Three Florida residents, William DiBernardino, Betty Jo Lane, and Jmarr McNeil, have been arrested for allegedly executing an acid attack on a 42-year-old woman in Monroe Township, New Jersey. The attack, which occurred on July 26, was reportedly orchestrated by DiBernardino, who hired Lane and McNeil to carry out the assault using a highly caustic acid, causing chemical burns to over 35% of the victim's body. The suspects fled the scene in a rented vehicle, which was later traced back to Florida. All three have been charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and stalking. They were apprehended in Florida and have waived extradition to face trial in New Jersey. The victim remains in treatment at a burn center.
