Indian sailors in Paris Olympics

Indian sailors Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan are facing challenges in the dinghy sailing events at the Paris Olympics, with both currently outside the qualification zones for the medal race. After four races, Saravanan is in 19th place, struggling after initially finishing 10th in the first race but dropping to 34th by the end of race two. Kumanan, after a promising start at 6th, has seen her position decline to 27th with 27 race points following three races. To qualify for the medal rounds, both sailors must finish in the top 10 after a total of 10 races. Saravanan previously secured India's first sailing quota for the Olympics at the ILCA 7 Men's World Championship, while Kumanan earned her spot at the Last Chance Regatta. Their performances in the upcoming races are crucial for securing positions in the final medal race.
