FIR Against Journalist for Maligning Gandhis

Bengaluru police have registered an FIR against Bangladeshi journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury and Aditi, a staffer of the Indian news portal 'The Jaipur Dialogues', for allegedly spreading fake news to malign the public image of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. The case was filed following a complaint from Srinivas G. of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, who accused Choudhury of making inflammatory posts on his X account, including claims that Sonia Gandhi was an ISI agent and that Rahul Gandhi had committed sexual assault. The posts were shared by Aditi on 'The Jaipur Dialogues' social media handle, amplifying their reach. The FIR has been registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to promoting enmity and circulating false information. The police are currently investigating the claims.
