Inaugural HSBC India Legends Championship Launches
Indian golf icons Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa are set to compete against former US Open champion Michael Campbell and Brazilian golfer Adilson Da Silva in the inaugural HSBC India Legends Championship, starting August 30 at Jaypee Greens Golf Course in Greater Noida. This tournament, the first formal event for senior golfers in India, boasts a prize pool of USD 500,000 and will be contested over 54 holes with a strong field of 64 participants. The winner will receive USD 74,250, with substantial prizes for the top finishers. As hosts, Jeev and Jyoti expressed excitement about showcasing Indian culture to the international players, including plans to visit the Taj Mahal. Jeev hopes for a home victory, as it would allow the winner to join the Legends Tour next week. The event is co-sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India and follows two Pro-Am events with cricket stars in attendance.
