Five Arrested in Multi-State ATM Robberies

Anantapur police have arrested five members of a Haryana gang involved in a series of ATM robberies across multiple states, including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The gang, which comprised 12 members, executed their heists by targeting ATMs with significant cash reserves and minimal security. On August 4, they stole nearly ₹30 lakh from an SBI ATM by disabling CCTV cameras and using gas cutters. The arrested individuals were found with a lorry, gas cutting equipment, and ₹2 lakh in cash. Authorities are still pursuing seven other gang members who remain at large. This crackdown highlights ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in the region.
