Samit Dravid Selected for India U19 Squad

Samit Dravid, son of former Indian cricket captain and coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected for India’s Under-19 squad for a multi-format series against Australia. The series includes three one-day matches in Puducherry on September 21, 23, and 26, and two four-day matches in Chennai on September 30 and October 7. Despite recent underwhelming performances in the KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy, Samit has shown promise in domestic tournaments like the Cooch Behar Trophy, where he made significant contributions with both bat and ball. His selection is seen as a step towards following in his father’s footsteps, and he expressed gratitude and excitement for the opportunity. The one-day team will be led by Mohammad Amaan, and the four-day team by Soham Patwardhan.
