Christopher Casey, 56, has been sentenced to 11.5 to 23 months in county jail for involuntary manslaughter after fatally stabbing his neighbor, Robert Wallace, 62, during a dispute over loud snoring. The altercation occurred on January 14, 2024, when Wallace confronted Casey about his snoring, which had severely disrupted his sleep. During the confrontation, Wallace threatened Casey after pushing in a window, leading to Casey stabbing him with a military-style knife. Both men had a history of arguments over this issue, and Casey's defense noted he felt threatened and was not equipped to handle the confrontation. After pleading guilty, Casey expressed remorse to Wallace's family, labeling the incident as 'unfortunate'. Following his jail term, Casey will serve three years of probation.
