FIU Signs $6M Stadium Deal with Pitbull

Rapper Pitbull has secured naming rights to Florida International University's football stadium, now to be known as 'Pitbull Stadium,' in an unprecedented deal where a musician names a college sports venue. The five-year agreement, worth $6 million with an option to extend, entails Pitbull paying $1.2 million annually. Beyond naming rights, Pitbull will create an anthem for FIU, perform concerts, and use the stadium for events, integrated into the university's promotional and fundraising activities. FIU officials believe this partnership will significantly boost the university's brand and community engagement. The first game at Pitbull Stadium is set for September 7 against Central Michigan.
