Mankind Pharma Acquires Bharat Serums for ₹13,630 Crore

Mankind Pharma has announced its acquisition of Bharat Serums and Vaccines (BSV) from Advent International for an enterprise value of Rs 13,630 crore. This strategic move positions Mankind Pharma as a leader in India's women's health and fertility drug market, increasing its market share to 13% in the Rs 11,000 crore gynaecology market. The acquisition includes BSV's robust R&D capabilities and established complex tech platforms, enhancing Mankind's product portfolio in critical care and women's health. BSV, which reported revenues of Rs 1,723 crore in FY24, has shown a 20% year-on-year growth. The deal, expected to close within 3-4 months, will be funded through internal accruals and a mix of debt and equity.
