Truck Driver Killed in Arlington Collision
A fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred late Friday night on U.S. 287 in Arlington, Texas, involving three 18-wheelers and two SUVs. The incident took place around 10:20-10:30 p.m. near Sublett Road when the driver of the first 18-wheeler failed to slow down for stopped traffic due to road construction. This resulted in a chain reaction crash, leading to the death of the first truck driver, who has not yet been identified. The drivers of the other two 18-wheelers, along with the driver and a passenger in a Land Rover, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office is handling the identification of the deceased driver and notification of next of kin.
