Judge Rules Lizzo's Harassment Lawsuit to Proceed

Judge Mark Epstein has ruled that the lawsuit filed by three former back-up dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Wiliams and Noelle Rodriguez, against Lizzo, real name Melissa Jefferson, can proceed to trial. The lawsuit accuses Lizzo and her production company of creating a hostile work environment through legal wrongdoing, including sexual, religious, and racial discrimination. The judge ruled that some of the accusations, including one that Lizzo fat-shamed a dancer, would be dismissed, but other allegations will stand. Lizzo has denied the allegations, expressed satisfaction with the ruling and has requested a jury trial with plans to appeal the remaining claims.
