Dodgers beat Brewers
Mookie Betts made a triumphant return to the Dodgers lineup after an eight-week absence due to a broken left hand, hitting a home run and driving in three runs in a 5-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. Betts, who opted for an Airbnb instead of the reportedly haunted Pfister Hotel, played right field and batted second in the game. Shohei Ohtani also contributed with his National League-leading 36th home run. Clayton Kershaw had his best outing since recovering from shoulder surgery, allowing just one run over 5 ⅔ innings and earning his first win of the season. The Dodgers' victory marks the start of a crucial four-game series against the Brewers, both of whom are leading their divisions. Joe Kelly managed to secure the win despite a late rally attempt from the Brewers in the sixth inning.
