Fender Launches Certified Pre-Owned Program with Reverb

Fender has launched its first Certified Pre-Owned program in partnership with Reverb, allowing musicians to purchase professionally inspected second-hand Fender instruments at reduced prices, complete with a one-year limited warranty. This initiative aims to cater to the growing demand for used music gear, with sales on Reverb increasing by over 50% from 2019 to 2023. Fender CEO Andy Mooney emphasized the program's value for players of all levels, enabling access to quality instruments while supporting sustainability in the music industry. The guitars will be sourced and restored by Music Instrument Reclamation Company, highlighting the circular economy aspect of the initiative. This program is a significant step for the industry, as it is the first of its kind by a major guitar manufacturer. Renowned musician Nile Rodgers praised the history and character of pre-owned instruments, further endorsing the value of this new offering.
