John Stamos on Getting Kicked Out of Scientology

John Stamos recently opened up about being kicked out of the Church of Scientology as a teenager. On the 'Friends in High Places' podcast, he shared that he was introduced to Scientology by a girl from his acting class and his admiration for John Travolta. During his first meeting, he was tested with an E-meter, a device used by Scientologists, but his humorous behavior, including impressions of 'Peabody and Sherman,' led to his expulsion. Stamos recalled that his antics were not well received, resulting in him being asked to leave the session immediately. His brief encounter with Scientology was also detailed in his 2023 memoir, 'If You Would Have Told Me'.
