Zendaya Undoubtedly Auditioned for Disney's Descendants
Zendaya, known for her roles in 'Dune' and the 'Spider-Man' trilogy, auditioned multiple times for the Disney Channel's 'Descendants' franchise but ultimately was not cast, according to Cornelia Frame, former Vice President of Casting and Talent Relations at Disney Channel. Frame stated that Zendaya's dedication to the auditions was significant, and she expressed curiosity about how this could have altered Zendaya's career trajectory had she been cast. The first 'Descendants' film premiered in July 2015, around the same time Zendaya was starring in 'K.C. Undercover,' which marked her final role with Disney. Since then, Zendaya has gone on to achieve remarkable success, including roles in major film franchises and earning two Emmy Awards for her work in 'Euphoria.' Despite missing out on 'Descendants,' Zendaya's career took off with her iconic role as MJ in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming.' The franchise itself expanded to include sequels and a recent spinoff, 'Descendants: The Rise of Red.'
