Tadej Pogacar made a significant impact in the 2024 Tour de France by attacking near the top of the Col du Galibier and reclaiming the yellow jersey, finishing 35 seconds ahead of Remco Evenepoel on Stage 4. Pogacar's UAE Team Emirates set a fast pace, and only Jonas Vingegaard and a few others could keep up; however, Vingegaard finished 37 seconds behind Pogacar. This stage marked the first decisive point of the race, with previous leader Richard Carapaz being dropped. The 2024 race, starting outside Paris for the first time, will end with an individual time trial in Nice. The Tour de France remains the pinnacle of cycling, drawing massive global attention and sponsorships.
