Kohli, Sharma Exempted from Duleep Trophy

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads for the Duleep Trophy, scheduled from September 5 to 24 in Anantapur and Bengaluru. Senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are exempted to avoid injury risks, as emphasized by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. Additionally, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer will participate in the Buchi Babu tournament after losing their central contracts for not prioritizing domestic cricket. Virat Kohli, who was seen in London after a challenging ODI series against Sri Lanka, will next play in the two-Test series against Bangladesh starting September 19.
