FEMA Assistance Application Deadlines Extended for Tornado Victims
Residents in Iowa and Texas affected by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding from April 26 to June 5 are nearing the deadline to apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance. Iowans have until August 23 to submit their applications, while Texans have a deadline of August 15, with both states urging homeowners and renters to act quickly. Applications can be made through the FEMA app, online, or by calling FEMA directly. In Texas, individuals can also visit Disaster Recovery Centers for assistance, which operate Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Homeowners and renters in numerous designated counties across both states are eligible for the aid, with FEMA offering multilingual support and guidance. Those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to expedite the recovery process.
