Wicked Film Release Date Moved to November 22

The highly anticipated film adaptation of the Broadway musical 'Wicked' will now be released on November 22, 2024, five days earlier than initially planned, to avoid clashing with Disney's 'Moana 2.' Directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, the film will now open against 'Gladiator II.' This is the second time its release date has shifted, originally planned for Christmas before moving to Thanksgiving. 'Wicked' will be released in two parts, with the second installment scheduled for November 26, 2025. The cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, and Jeff Goldblum.
