University of Oklahoma Honors Toby Keith in 2024

The University of Oklahoma will honor the late country music icon Toby Keith during home football games this season by featuring a singalong to his music after the third quarter. The initiative, part of a broader upgrade to the game day experience, will allow 85,000 fans to celebrate the beloved Sooner superfan. Keith, who passed away in early 2024 after battling stomach cancer, was a lifelong supporter of the Sooners, and the university has previously honored him with tributes such as serving drinks in red solo cups during a rival basketball game. Enhancements to the game day experience also include improved connectivity, new videoboard graphics, and a real-time decibel meter to engage fans. The first opportunity for fans to participate in the singalong will occur during the Sooners' season opener against Temple.
