Man arrested in Bihar

In a gruesome murder case from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, a 22-year-old man named Arun Saini has been arrested for killing his girlfriend, Sheeba, with the assistance of his friend, Kuldeep Vishwakarma. The couple's relationship faced familial opposition, and Arun reportedly killed Sheeba after she pressured him for marriage, subsequently dismembering and disposing of her body in a canal. Separately, in a notable development, Delhi Police apprehended Sakender Kumar, a fugitive for 24 years, for the murder of factory worker Ram Swaroop, who was killed in 2000. Kumar, along with three accomplices, strangled Swaroop and concealed his body in plastic bags at the factory where they all worked. After years of eluding capture, Kumar was tracked down in Bihar following a renewed investigation into cold cases. Both incidents highlight ongoing issues of violence and the long arm of the law in resolving cold cases.
