While Hammer acknowledged Downey's support, he emphasized that the Iron Man actor did not cover the financial costs of his treatment. Hammer addressed various allegations against him, including accusations of sexual and physical abuse and cannibalism, attributing some to consensual role-play. He expressed gratitude for the support from some in Hollywood, including Downey, who offered him advice and support during his struggles with addiction. Hammer also mentioned that he had communicated with Johnny Depp but had not heard from other co-stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts. He revealed Downey's advice to him was to 'sit down, shut up, everything is going to be OK.'
