Washington Commanders Sign Eight-Year Naming Deal
The Washington Commanders have entered an eight-year naming rights agreement with Northwest Federal Credit Union, renaming their home field to Northwest Stadium starting in the 2024 season. The financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal reportedly exceeds the annual value of the previous $205 million FedEx agreement. The Commanders are investing $70 million in stadium renovations, including new fan amenities and improved concessions. Despite the new deal, the team is actively pursuing a new stadium, targeting a 2030 opening, with potential locations in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia. The new agreement does not grant Northwest naming rights to any future stadiums. The Commanders will officially unveil the new branding before their home opener against the New York Giants on September 15.
