Tempe Man Sentenced for Break-Ins and Assaults
Djimon Boggs, a 25-year-old man, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for a series of burglaries and sexual assaults in Tempe, Arizona. Between September and October 2023, Boggs targeted unlocked homes, threatening victims with a gun and attempting sexual assaults on multiple occasions. He was arrested on October 15, 2023, after DNA evidence linked him to one of the crimes and he later pleaded guilty to several charges, including first-degree burglary and sexual assault. The sentence includes 12.5 years for each of the two main offenses, which will run consecutively, alongside lifetime supervised probation and mandatory sex offender registration upon release. The incidents involved terrifying encounters, including one where a victim was assaulted at gunpoint. Boggs admitted to being under the influence of drugs during the crimes and expressed a desire to apologize to one victim.
