Gangster Mohd Latief Escapes Police Custody

Mohd Latief, a hardcore criminal known as Latief Punjabi, escaped from police custody in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, after being arrested on Thursday. He was apprehended near his rented house with a pistol and five cartridges. Latief was being held at the Rakh Amb Tali police post when he escaped late Saturday, prompting the formation of multiple police teams to recapture him. He is wanted for various serious offenses, including attempted murder, theft, rioting, and violations of the Arms Act in both Samba and Punjab. The incident raises concerns about security as authorities work to apprehend the fugitive.
