The Mystery of The Devil's Identity in AEW
AEW could be about to lose its biggest star, with MJF's contract believed to be expiring at the start of 2024. The former world champion was recently removed from the company's roster page, adding fuel to the fire of speculation he's about to become a free agent. According to PWInsider, people within AEW don't believe he's left the company, and his removal is just part of the storyline. Nevertheless, with his contract up, MJF is now free to negotiate with whichever promotion he likes. This comes after he main evented AEW's most recent pay-per-view, losing to Samoa Joe in a 30-minute bout. AEW president Tony Khan stated he's willing to welcome Friedman back to the company, but wouldn't be drawn on his future plans. Meanwhile, MJF's upcoming feud has been speculated to be with the 'Devil' – a masked figure who has been attacking his allies – who was recently unmasked as Adam Cole at the pay-per-view, but there could be another twist according to Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer.
