Sony Launches PlayStation Portal in India

Sony has launched the PlayStation Portal Remote Player in India, priced at Rs 18,990, allowing users to play PS5 and PS4 games wirelessly without needing a TV. The device features an 8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080p and supports gaming at up to 60fps, utilizing Sony's DualSense controller capabilities for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Available starting August 3, 2024, through various retailers, the Portal requires a PS5 or PS4 to be powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network for operation. While it enters a competitive market with devices like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally, it is tailored exclusively for PlayStation gaming. Despite its delayed launch in India, the PlayStation Portal aims to provide a seamless remote play experience for dedicated PS enthusiasts.
