He emphasized that such comments, which label the farmers as rapists and foreign agents, undermine the sacrifices made by those who died during the farmers' protests. He also reiterated that the government's promises, including the establishment of a committee on Minimum Support Price (MSP), remain unfulfilled. In a separate issue, Gandhi has called for a nationwide caste census, arguing that it is crucial for policy-making and represents the disconnect of 90% of the population from the system. The BJP responded, claiming that the Congress-led Karnataka government has not released its caste census results, questioning Gandhi's commitment to the issue. Union ministers stated that Prime Minister Modi will conduct a national caste census at the appropriate time, dismissing Gandhi's demands as political posturing.
