Lancaster man charged with murder

Jimmy Kenneth Knight, 21, has been charged with murder in connection with the May 15 death of 44-year-old Jaime Leonives Paz Nejera in Lancaster, S.C. Police discovered Nejera unresponsive at a residence, prompting a nearly three-month investigation that led to Knight's arrest on August 5, while he was already incarcerated on unrelated charges. Lancaster Police Chief Don Roper commended the efforts of detectives and officers in building a case to secure the murder warrant. Knight was denied bond during his initial hearing.
