Remains of Missing Woman Miranda Ankofski Identified

The human remains discovered in Millcreek Canyon, Utah, have been identified as those of Miranda Ankofski, a 50-year-old woman who went missing with her husband, Raymond, on June 21. The couple had been exploring the Steel Bender Trail when they were likely caught in a flash flood, which also swept away their all-terrain vehicle (UTV). While Miranda's remains were found on July 22, Raymond's have yet to be identified. Search efforts transitioned to recovery operations after initial searches turned up no signs of the couple, despite finding personal belongings, including a pair of pants containing Raymond's wallet. The Grand County Sheriff's Office has expressed condolences to Miranda's family and is committed to providing further updates as information becomes available.
