Kumari Selja, a senior Congress leader, has ruled out any alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, asserting that the Congress will contest independently and is confident of winning an 'excellent majority' in the 90-member assembly. Selja criticized the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), stating it has significantly lost support and is 'breaking up', which will hinder its chances in the elections. She also dismissed the INLD-BSP alliance, predicting it will not affect Congress votes, citing poor past performances from both parties. Selja emphasized that the decisions regarding alliances are to be made at the state level and reiterated Congress's strength. Additionally, she highlighted pressing election issues such as unemployment, inflation, and the need for legal guarantees on farmers' Minimum Support Price (MSP).
